It’s come round to the time of year when the US celebrates their independence from Britain. As you might expect, there were quite a few webcams showing the celebrations. Even if you missed them, you can still catch up with them online.
EarthCam showed many of the parties and fireworks displayed in several different cities, including New York, St. Louis, and San Fransico. They had a webcam on the USS Intrepid (which we featured on Camscape recently) giving a great view of the fireworks over Hudson River. In San Fransico, you could watch fireworks over the Golden Gate Bridge.
Perhaps the most creative webcam this year was Mike Tockstein’s Live Fireworks Setup Webcams. The three webcams from Woodbridge Village, Irvine, CA, showed Internet surfers a behind-the-scenes view of the work that goes into a large firework display.
